About Dr. Piccione
Clinical Teaching & Admissions Experience
I am a board-certified Family Physician with more than 25 years of experience in clinical medicine, physician leadership, teaching and student mentorship.
Throughout my career, I have served as a community-based clinical faculty member and physician preceptor for medical students and residents from multiple programs, including Rush Medical College, the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Advocate Lutheran General Family Medicine Residency, Rush Copley Family Medicine Residency, and Illinois Masonic Family Medicine Residency.
I previously served on the Rush Medical College Admissions Committee, giving me direct insight into how applicants are evaluated, what admissions committees value, and how strong candidates distinguish themselves.
A Strategic, Individualized Approach
Successful medical school applications are not built from numbers alone. Competitive applications require a thoughtful strategy, a clear narrative, meaningful clinical and service experiences, and the ability to communicate maturity, motivation, and readiness for the profession.
My role is to help applicants and families bring clarity, strategy, and persepctive to a complex process. I help students understand the strength of their current application, identify areas that need improvement, and present their experiences in a way that is authentic, organized, and compelling.
